Best in Show: Art

Architectural Digest Home Design Show 2015

Artistic Alchemist Delah Brucelli was awarded Best In Show by the IFDA for her new collection of paintings, titled Transcendence in Movement. It was the first appearance at the show for Brucelli, whose work drew accolades from gallery owners, designers, and art collectors.

Brucelli’s collection focused on her signature large-scale brush-free pouring methods for creating movement, and emphasized her exquisite use of color. Her art explores the intersection between fine art and new media and aims to create a multi-dimensional space that elevates the viewer to contemplate and transcend the physical.

“Artistic alchemy is part combination of the stillness of images, and the movement of spirit, as much as it is the mixing of materials,” she says.

Brucelli draws great inspiration from her background in fashion, having worked with the couture houses of Christian Dior and Pierre Balmain in Paris, and as stylist to the stars in Hollywood. She also created her own clothing label in New York, which was featured on the front page of the Sunday New York Times.

Brucelli is a classically trained painter, and studied both in New York and internationally before developing her own style of artistic alchemy.
